One child was strapped onto my back, while another crawled around in the playground. I stayed up all night days over months of sanding, and taking wallpaper off, all while carrying one kid. Ha! Everything was starting to fall into place, but we were nowhere near done. For this project I was ready to invest a significant amount of money and spend time looking for my dream house. To keep in the realm of budgets, I took to going with my boys to estate sales in search of diamonds. Our weekly routine that included spending the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring estate and garage sales, purchasing new and old objects. I then spent the remainder of the week working on painting and sanding the driveway. What I saw looked something similar to... this is when my desire to repair furniture began. It didn't matter if the house was already equipped. I also had a booth at the market where I sold items. I eventually had so many pieces I didn't have a clue what to do with them and I outgrew my space. In my own home, I would host open houses where more than 1000 guests could visit and buy any item they liked on the 1st floor within a single weekend. Growing Days was founded in my own home. While my company grew as did our family. The balance was between starting a new business and being a mother. Growing Days just fit. My sweet Nora arrived in the year 2013, which was our fourth child. My business was booming but I was in need of a break. I decided to stop doing work on my furniture for a while and be at home with the children. This was just what I needed. Within a couple of months, the phone began to ring. They asked for my help in interior decoration and home renovations. They had mainly visited my house at the open houses that were held for furniture. In the following months, I began to take on clients in my own way. Soon I had multiple clients, and had as a home improvement business. When you first told me about your home remodeling business I laughed. It's funny to think back about it.
